PLOVER — Runners, walkers and families are invited to Lake Pacawa later this month for the sixth annual Lake Pacawa 5K Run, Walk, Roll.

The event will be held Friday, July 24, with registration opening at 4:30 p.m., a kickoff to the annual Celebrate Plover festival. A free kids fun run begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the 5K race at 6 p.m. Organizers said the event will be held rain or shine.

The race welcomes participants of all abilities and is designed to encourage community members to run, walk or roll their way through the course while enjoying an evening at Lake Pacawa.

Registration is $35 per person and includes a race tank top or T-shirt, depending on availability, along with a swag bag. Organizers noted that registration fees increase after June 1.

Concessions will be available beginning at 4:30 p.m., and organizers are encouraging participants and spectators to stay and enjoy Plover Friday Night festivities and other family-friendly activities taking place around the park.

Businesses and organizations also have an opportunity to support the event through sponsorships. Silver sponsorships are available for $200 and include a name or logo on race signage and in the race packet. Gold sponsorships are $600 and include signage, placement on the back of the race shirt and additional recognition. Platinum sponsorships begin at $1,000 and include all previous benefits, recognition during the event and on social media, and four complimentary race registrations.
