Kids ride city bus for free over summer months

Central Transportation, formerly known as Stevens Point Transit, has announced it will again offer free bus rides to children this summer.
The Youth Ride Free program operates from June 11 to Aug. 30.
The program does not cover daycare, school, or group field trips.
Passage on the air-conditioned buses returns to the regular $0.65 for children ages 6-18 on Aug. 31.
Regular fare for adults is $1, and $0.65 for seniors and Mid-State students with a student ID. Children under five ride for free with a paying adult.
