Judith Mercer, 81
Judith Mercer, née Zblewski, of Plover, Wis., passed away Jan. 6, 2026, at the age of 81.
Judith was born July 27, 1944, in Stevens Point, Wis., daughter of the late Dennis and Evelyn (Firkus) Zblewski. She grew up in the area and attended local schools, graduating from Saint Maria Catholic High School in 1962.
On Oct. 24, 1964, Judith married William Mercer. The two welcomed two children, William and Brenda, and enjoyed nearly 60 years together until William’s passing in 2024.
Judith was a kind woman who led a life of love for her family and her faith. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and bird watching, especially hummingbirds and cardinals.
Judith is survived by her children, William (Dena) F. Mercer and Brenda Mercer; her grandchildren, Brandon, Ian, Collin and Lauren Mercer; her sister, Bonnie (Jim) Adamski; and her brothers, Roger (Millie) Zblewski and Fred (Kathy) Zblewski.
Judith was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents, Dennis and Evelyn; and her brother-in-law, James Adamski.
The family would like to thank their family and friends for the unwavering support during this difficult time.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at Highland Church, 700 Hoover Ave., Plover. Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories at the church Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
