Josephine ‘Josie’ Clare Betro, 62

Josephine “Josie” Clare Betro, of Amherst, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018 at the age of 62.

The daughter of Clarence J. and Roberta M. Betro, she was born on July 11, 1955 in Stevens Point.

Josephine graduated from Amherst High School in 1974. She then went on to graduate from the early child care program at MSTC, Stevens Point. Josephine was an active member of TOPS for many years. Josie worked at CCLS for many years and also worked various other jobs around the Stevens Point and Waupaca area. Josie loved being around her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her daughter, Stefani Jo Upthagrove; life partner, Dennis P. Upthagrove; step-son, Joshua H. Upthagrove; brother and twin, John C. Betro of Stevens Point; and sister, Pauline R. Betro of Stevens Point. She is further survived by Stephen A. Betro, of Rosholt and Micheal L. Betro of Stevens Point.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roberta and Clarence Betro; nephew, Jeremy A. Rzentkowski; and niece, Annie M. Rzenkowski – Mueller.
