Metro Wire Staff

Gallery Q Artists Cooperative in Stevens Point will feature the award-winning jewelry of silversmith Joan North on Dec. 4 and 5.

North’s annual show is now in its 17th year at the gallery. The public is invited to meet North, explore new creations, and view over 100 items, including some of her award-winning designs, up for sale.

North is a jewelry artist and silversmith and previously was the dean at the College of Professional Studies at UW-Stevens Point before retiring in 2010. Her work emphasizes line and subtle color and often evokes metaphors about life and nature, and is shown at galleries, museums, and exhibits across the nation.

North’s work can be seen at joannorthdesigns.com, or on her Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.

The show will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 4 and 5 at Q Gallery, 1108 Main St.
