Jesse W. Retzke, 46
Jesse W. Retzke, 46, of Stevens Point, passed away early Saturday morning, Aug. 17, 2024, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee following a massive heart attack a week earlier.
Jesse was born Oct. 22, 1977, in Stevens Point, the son of Charlene “Char” (née Collar-Retzke) Dulske and the late Joseph B. Retzke. He was the stepson of David Dulske. He attended local schools and graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) in 1996.
Jesse married Merri Rousseau on Oct. 31, 2015, and the couple settled in Stevens Point. He worked on the farms of Cee-Dee Acres.
In his free time, Jesse enjoyed throwing horseshoes, shooting darts, playing Farm Simulator on his computer, and PlayStation games. He also loved singing karaoke.
Survivors include his wife, Merri; a son, Joseph Retzke; a daughter, Tamara (Ryan) Pulley of New Orleans; and one grandson, Julian. He is also survived by four stepchildren, Gavin, Breanna, Erin, and River; his mother and stepfather, Char (née Collar) Dulske; a sister, Nicole (Dan) Lockman of Wisconsin Rapids; and a nephew, Ryan Lockman. Additional survivors include his stepsister, Tracy (Jim) Somers of Kingsley, Mich.; a niece, Corbin Somers; and stepsister, Trudy Ludwig, along with a sister-in-law, Darlene Ludwig, a niece, Elizabeth, and a nephew, Fred.
Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Retzke, and a brother, Fred.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Jesse’s name will be established at a later date.
A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, at Rookies Sports Pub in Stevens Point, with a remembrance service at 1:30 p.m. Pisarski Community Funeral Home of Plover is honored to be serving the family.
