Jeffrey Peter Wendt went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeffrey will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 10-10:45 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church. Burial will be in the St. Mary of Torun Parish Cemetery. Shuda Funeral Services is assisting the family.
Jeffrey was born in Franklin, Wis. on May 29, 1945, the son of Harold and Florence (Michel) Wendt. He attended local schools and after attending MSOE University he took his first job as a Graphics Technician in Oak Creek in 1976, his job then took him to Sheboygan, and in 1989 he settled in Stevens Point working for Earth Tech.
Jeff had many hobbies that he enjoyed fishing, golfing, travel, dancing, and bowling.
He is survived by; his wife Betty, his sons; Michel (Dr. Daria Sciarrone) Wendt Puyallup, Wash., Chip Wendt, Plover, he is also survived by his brothers, Charles Wendt; Greenfield, James Wendt, Milwaukee.
He is also survived by his step-children: Tricia (Sid) Bagley, and their children; Carson, Morgan and Abigail, Madison; Tammy (friend JZ) Hutkowski, and her son Grant, Stevens Point; Therese (Bob) Hutkowski, Stevens Point, and stepson Tom Hutkowski, Milwaukee.
Jeff was preceded in death by; his parents, his six-year-old brother John Wendt and his first wife and mother of his children, Harriet Lee (Schneider) Wendt.
The family would like to thank Dr. Neil, Jeff’s neurologist (surgeon) at Marshfield Medical Center, as well as Dr. Charles McCauley, a cardiologist for his timely care and intervention. Also a special thank you to the caregivers at Crossroads of Weyauwega, Theda Medical Center, Waupaca, and Stevens Point Health Services (Sherman Ave.), and a special thank you to Joni, RN, Diane, Lisa RN, Heartland Hospice for their exceptional end of life care.
