Jeffrey L. Pliska, age 49, of Custer, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday morning November 28, 2019.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeff will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at St. Mary’s, Custer. Rev. Greg Michaud will officiate.
Friends and family will gather to share memories from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel, 3200 Stanley St. Stevens Point. Visitation will also be held from 10-10:45 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Jeff was born May 15, 1970, in Stevens Point, the son of Leonard and Ruthie (Mrozinski) Pliska. He graduated from SPASH in 1989. He worked at Worzalla Publishing for 28 years before retiring due to health issues.
Jeff married Jane Zoromski on April 29, 1995, at St. Mary’s. The couple settled in Custer.
Jeff enjoyed long drives, fishing, mowing grass, snow blowing with the Kubota, car shows, talking with friends and family, and making people laugh. Jeff was a member of the Wisconsin Game Bird Association with his father and showed birds in Wisconsin and Illinois. He also enjoyed cutting hay and working on the ranch with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jane, and their two sons, Roman and Nickolas; his parents, Leonard and Ruthie; his sister, Debra (Al) Kozelek; and in-laws, Robert and Germaine Zoromski; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jim and Brenda Zoromski, Joan and Dave Grebe, and Jody and Gorga Zoromski.
