Jeffrey Alan Moen, 63
Jeffrey Alan Moen, 63, of De Pere, formerly of Eau Claire, died April 14, 2025, while under hospice care.
Moen was born Jan. 28, 1962, in Eau Claire to Ronald and Karilyn (née Sorenson) Moen. He attended local schools and graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1980. He later earned an associate degree in mechanical design from a technical college in Eau Claire.
He worked as an automation engineer for more than 40 years, contributing to projects for about 50 companies across the Midwest, including Oscar Mayer, Blue Chip Engineering, Power Engineers, Marathon Cheese, and Schreiber Foods. He was known for solving mechanical challenges before a single machine was ever built.
He married Georgia Bilger on Jan. 29, 2011, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Wausau.
Moen was remembered as kind, considerate, and project-oriented, with a sharp sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting, smoking meats, cooking, golfing, making sausage and wine, and ballroom dancing with his wife.
Survivors include his wife; mother, Karilyn Allen; niece, Rachel (Garrett) Arnold; nephew, Nick Moen; cousin, Jane Stein; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Moen; stepchildren, Kelly (Matthew) Hanson, Jay Slempkes and Ben (Brittany) Slempkes; and grandchildren, Sophia, Isaac, Liberty, Jonas, Samuel and Lucas.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Rick Moen.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at Brookridge Church, 1500 Hoover Ave., Plover. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in Plover Cemetery.
