Janis Ruth Polcin, 84

Janis Ruth Polcin, age 84, of Stevens Point, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Stevens Point Health Services surrounded by her loving family.

A private family burial for Janis will be held at a later date.

Janis was born on December 20, 1936, the daughter of George and Hazel (Olds) Brown. She attended Oak Hill Grade School in Junction City and graduated from P.J. Jacob’s. She was married to Jerome Polcin. Janis was owner-operator of Sadies & Jerry’s Supper Club.

Janis is survived by her three children: Richard (Sandy) Brockman, Joseph (Rebecca) Polcin, and Sandra Polcin; four grandchildren: Becky Brockman, Karen Hayes, Kevin Polcin, and Kasen Polcin; four great-grandchildren: Robert and Nolan Clay, Hayden Hayes, and Isaiah Polcin; three siblings: Donna (John) Kuzynski, Virgil (Marge) Brown, and Betty (Donald) Kawleski; and her sister-in-law: Nancy (James) Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerome, brother James, and 1 grandson.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Stevens Point Health Care Services and Compassus Hospice for the help and care they gave Janis.
