James “Jim” Stanley Kluck, 46

James “Jim” Stanley Kluck, 46 of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Friday March 30, 2018 surrounded by family after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Jim was born on October 4, 1971 to the late Sara and Richard (Pliske) Kluck. Jim attended Stevens Point Area High School and graduated in May 1990.

He is a U.S. Army veteran, receiving the Army Service Ribbon, Army Lapel Button, National Defense Service Medal, M16 Marksman Badge and Overseas Service Ribbon.

He married the love of his life Jody L. (Soik) on Nov. 28, 1991 at a small intimate military ceremony. Jim and Jody went on to celebrate their marriage with family and friends on December 22, 1992 with a ceremony at St. Peters Church in Stevens Point.

Jim worked at Consolidated Papers as an Instrumentation Electrician until his health no longer allowed him to. Jim enjoyed deer and bear hunting with friends and family. He loved going “up north” to “Camp Weasel” to spend time in the outdoors in the greater Bayfield area.

Jim most enjoyed spending time with his large family, especially his grandchildren. He looked forward to every barbeque picnic and birthday celebration. Jim was thankful for the time he had with his children and grandchildren and cherished every moment.

Jim is survived by Jody Kluck and their seven beautiful children; four boys Quinton, Gavin, Tanner and James, and three girls Kaitlyn, Kathryn (Jake) Studinski, and Brieanne; and three grandchildren Cameron, Owen and Autumn; two brothers Charles (Lori) Kluck, Ken Pliske and Sister Peggy Wierzba.

He was preceded in death by his parents Sara and Richard Kluck. Jim’s family would like to take a moment to thank friends and the greater Stevens Point community for the support and love shown to Jim and family through his years of battling cancer.

Jim often commented, “because of you all I am strong”.
