James “Gimme” J. Milanowski, 55

James “Gimme” J. Milanowski, 55, Stevens Point, passed away unexpectedly at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, taken before his time.

Jim was born October 10, 1966, in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Edwin and Patricia (Glodowski). He graduated from SPASH in 1985.

He was a cook at Mickey’s, and he worked many years at the Waupaca Foundry until he became the proud owner of Travel & Tours Travel Agency.

Jim was a good friend to many. He was always generous and caring. He enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, and treasure hunting. He enjoyed Wisconsin sports and spending time with his loved ones.

He is survived by his son James, daughter Kayleigh Weigelt, their loving mother Julie, and his grandchildren Violet and Juniper.

He is also survived by his brothers David (Marie) of Waupun, Ronald (Eileen) of Plymouth, Donald (Jennifer) of Albuquerque, N.M., and Glenn (Lori) of Bancroft. Two sisters Roxane (Ron) Eiler of Berlin and Laurie (Carl) Dvorak of Belgium and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and nieces Hope and Faith.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 800 Fourth Ave., in Stevens Point. Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service in the St. Faustina room at the church.
