Jack Warner, 89

Jack Warner, of Plover, passed away peacefully on Sept. 4, 2025, at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital. He was 89.

Jack was born April 3, 1936, in Stevens Point, the son of the late Harold and Isabelle (Fitzmorris) Warner. He was the second oldest of seven children and attended local schools. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1954.

Following high school, Jack served in the U.S. Navy for four years, serving in Quemoy and Matsu Island. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He married Pauline (née Bibby) on Aug. 13, 1960, in Plover, and the couple began their married life in Milwaukee. They remained there until retirement, when they moved to their cottage in Fox Lake.

Jack enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and camping. When he had the opportunity, he also enjoyed traveling and woodworking. Above all else, Jack was a family man who was a proud and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his children, Kathleen Engstrom (Steven) of Hartford, Stephanie Giersch (Gary) of West Bend, and Jeffrey Warner (Katina) of Custer; his grandchildren, Hunter Warner (Brittney Flugaur), Carson Warner, Kaylissa Giersch, and Karleigh Giersch; and his fiancée, Vivian Giese. He is further survived by his siblings, Bruce Warner (Jan), Barbara Lepper (Bob), Sandy Ledvina (Ron), and Peggy Clemens (Bob); and a sister-in-law, Lois Warner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline; his parents; his brother, Richard Warner; and his sister, Karen Groholski.

The family extends a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Aspirus Stevens Point ICU for the exceptional care given to Jack during his final days.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack’s honor to a charity of your choosing.

Private services for immediate family will be held at a later date.
