Hope Center seeking donations of food, hygiene items

The Salvation Army Hope Center is seeking donations to help restock its pantry.

The Hope Center is a homeless shelter located at 1600 Briggs St. The organization has about 20 beds and serves more than 150 meals weekly to residents and non-residents.

The organization made its request via Facebook on Monday.

According to the request, the center is in need of the following items: toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, Kleenex, salt and paper, white rice, pasta sides, baby wipes, diapers (all sizes) disinfecting wipes and spray, air spray, brushes, combs, multi-purpose cleaner, ranch dressing, coffee, sugar, olives, body wash, window cleaner, stainless steel cleaner, hand sanitizer, feminine products, razors and bleach.
