Holman wins county executive seat

Chris Holman is the new Portage County Executive, winning by a tally of 5,973 to 5,270.
UPDATE:
The gap begins to narrow at 10:30 p.m., as precincts from inside the Democratic strongholds in Plover and Stevens Point begin reporting in. Holman still leads at 3,004 votes to Gebert’s 2,313.
UPDATE:
By 10:15 p.m., and about half the county’s precincts reporting, Chris Holman shows a strong lead over Jami Gebert, by a count of 2,584 to 1,902.

At 9:46 p.m., Holman continues his lead with 1,913 votes to Gebert’s 1,314.

At 9:30 p.m., Holman continues his lead against Gebert by a tally of 1,157 to 991 votes.
With only a few rural municipalities reporting, county executive candidate Chris Holman has an early lead against Jami Gebert.
As of 9 p.m., Holman was leading Gebert by a vote of 1,122 to 701.
During the February primary race, a total of 7,144 votes for county executive were cast, with Holman bringing in 2,715 votes and Gebert winning 2,465 votes. A third candidate, Matt Jacowski garnered 1,964 ballots and was eliminated from the April 3 contest.
