Gas leak reroutes traffic on Post Rd. in Plover

A minor gas leak on Post Rd. near Hickory Dr. closed down part of the roadway on Wednesday.

Plover Police Chief Dan Ault asked motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area. A detour was posted.

A gas line was ruptured by a construction crew working in the area, who immediately called Wisconsin Public Service.

Police and fire crews had 1000 block of Post Rd. closed to traffic for about an hour.

Wisconsin State Patrol also responded to the scene to assist with traffic.
