PLOVER — Garden enthusiasts and tea lovers are invited to don their fancy hats and walking shoes for a native plant garden tour at the Portage County Public Library’s Plover Branch on Tuesday, July 15.

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. at 2151 Roosevelt Drive, where a member of the Portage County Master Gardeners will lead adults through the library’s updated garden and walking path. The landscaping was recently improved with help from the Village of Plover.

Following the tour, guests can enjoy light refreshments and learn how to incorporate native plants into their own yards.

Although the event is geared toward adults, families with young children are encouraged to visit the branch’s new permanent StoryWalk installation at any time.

The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled. For updates, visit the library’s social media pages or call the Plover Branch at 715-341-4007.

The Portage County Public Library’s mission is to enrich the community by connecting people and offering free and equal opportunity for lifelong learning and enjoyment.
