Gallery Q seeks artists for 38th annual Culture & Agriculture exhibition

By Patrick Lynn

STEVENS POINT — Artists from across the country are invited to take part in the 38th annual Culture & Agriculture Exhibition, with applications now open through Jan. 31, 2026.

The national juried exhibit will be hosted March and April at Gallery Q Artists Cooperative in downtown Stevens Point. Now in its 38th year, the exhibition highlights rural life and agricultural heritage as seen through the eyes of contemporary artists.

Works selected for the show span a wide range of styles, from representational to abstract. Organizers say each piece brings a personal perspective shaped by memory, experience and observation, offering fresh interpretations of familiar agricultural themes.

Artists ages 18 and older may submit up to two works for consideration. All two- and three-dimensional media are welcome, as long as the artwork is inspired by agriculture. That can include rural landscapes, farm life, or broader agricultural themes and issues. Submitted pieces must have been created within the past five years and reflect the artist’s current body of work.

Eight cash awards totaling $2,800 will be presented during the exhibition. Awards include Best of Show, which carries a $1,000 prize, along with People’s Choice, first, second and third place, and honorable mentions.

Artists whose work is selected will be notified Feb. 7, 2026.

More information about the exhibition and application process is available at culture-agriculture.com.

Gallery Q Artists Cooperative is a member-operated gallery featuring locally created fine art and offering art-focused programs and enrichment experiences. The Culture & Agriculture Exhibition, organizers say, continues that mission by showcasing the many ways artists interpret agriculture — from land and livestock to the labor, tools and traditions that shape rural life.
