Frances M. Brown, 81

Frances M. Brown, 81, of Plover, passed away at home on May 30, 2026.

She was born May 16, 1945, in Stevens Point, the daughter of the late August and Doris (Gierszewski) Bemke. She grew up in the area, attended local schools and graduated from PJ Jacobs High School.

On May 16, 1964, she married Richard Brown in Stevens Point. Together they raised four children. Brown worked at Fleet Farm for more than 20 years, helping support her family.

She enjoyed the outdoors and spent as much time as she could tending her flower gardens. She and her husband enjoyed many years of camping and fishing with family and friends up north each summer. She also enjoyed reading and sewing.

Survivors include her sons, Trent (Kim), Kurt (Anita) and Trevor Brown; her daughter, Kim (Matt) Fischer; grandchildren Erica, Noah, Lindsey, Lynnea (Caleb), Brittany, Ariel (Mitch), Matthew, Avery, Evelyn and Tavianna; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; a great-granddaughter, Dakota Brown; two brothers; and five sisters.

The family extends a special thank-you to nurses and aides Charlette, Cindy, Courtney, Brittany and Mary of Compassus Hospice for the care provided to Brown and her family.

No formal services will be held.
