Fran L. Zaborowski, 82

Fran L. Zaborowski age 82, of Amherst Jct., passed away at her home on Monday, December 24, 2018.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Fran will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Rev. Greg Michaud and Monsignor Ross Schecterle will concelebrate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends and family will gather to share memories from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel, 3200 Stanley St. A general rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel, led by the Sacred Heart Ladies Rosary Society of which Fran was a longtime member and the Knights of Columbus – Stevens Point, of which her son Duane is a 4th Degree member.

A memorial in lieu of flowers will be established at a later date.

Fran was born October 7, 1936, in Stevens Point, the daughter of Frank and Alice (Firkus) Hess. She graduated from St. Peters Grade School and from St. Joseph Academy in 1954. She worked at Sentry Insurance after graduation.

Fran married Daniel Zaborowski on October 22, 1955, at St. Peters Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Walijewski officiating. The couple settled in Amherst Jct., and the couple ran the family farm and raised their family.

Fran was a former member of the Sacred Heart Parish Council, was a Eucharist Minister and lector, she enjoyed going to church picnics, dancing to Polka music, crocheting, reading, and watching and feeding birds.

Fran is survived by her husband Daniel; their children: Duane (Linda), Stevens Point, Paul (Sally), Stevens Point, Patricia Zaborowski, Amherst Jct., David (Rose), Stevens Point, Donna (Dave Spranger) Zaborowski, Amherst Jct.; six grandchildren: Derek (Sarah), Miranda, Josh (Kaysie), Holly Zaborowski (Bob Lemke); Tyler, Stacy Zaborowski (Scott Fogel); five great-grandchildren: Grace, Violet, Destiny, Rhett, and Maddox; her brother: James P. (Judy) Hess, St George, Utah; her sister-in-law: Esther (Stanley) Hintz, Amherst Jct.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deborah Ann; her brother, Pete Morrison; three sisters, Vera Morrison, Margie Stone, and an infant sister, and her nephew John A. Hess.
