Four Russell gymnasts take top honors at regional meet; Ostrum qualifies for nationals

MINNEAPOLIS – Four gymnasts from Russell Gymnastics earned first-place finishes at the 2025 Region 4 Championship Meet held April 11-13 in Minneapolis.

The competition featured athletes from seven Midwest states, including Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri. Russell Gymnastics, based in central Wisconsin, competed with athletes from Levels 6 through 10.

Level 6 gymnast Claire Trzebiatowski took first place on floor exercise with a score of 9.525.

Sophia Kinsella, competing at Level 7, earned first place on vault with a 9.350.

Level 8 competitor Kara Xiong tied for first place on balance beam with a 9.400.

At Level 10, Arianna Ostrum took first place on vault with a 9.775 and tied for first on the uneven bars with a 9.850. Ostrum has qualified to advance to the national competition, which will be held May 9-11 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
