Flags should be lowered to half-staff on Fri., May 10, beginning at sunrise and ending at sunset, to honor fallen officers who gave their lives in the line of duty throughout 2018.

The same executive order calls for flags to be lowered to half-staff on Wed., May 15, also beginning at sunrise and ending at sunset, to honor Peace Officers Memorial Day, in recognition of peace officers who have given their lives in the line of duty.

The order also states flags should be lowered to half-staff during public ceremonies for the purpose of honoring peace officers between Sun., May 12 and Sat., May 18, in recognition of Police Week.
