Esther Grace Sayas, 74

Esther Grace Sayas, passed away at the age of 74, on October 25, 2019. Esther resided in Plover with her loving husband, Alvino Sayas.

Esther is survived by children, April Wittenberg, Brian Wittenberg, William Wald, and Kerry Wald; siblings, Walter Lane, Myron Lane, John Lane, and Deborah Ziebarth; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Esther was born on August 26, 1945, in Minneapolis, Minn. to Grace Francis Lane (Steven) and Walter Raymond Lane. Esther graduated from West Division High School, Milwaukee, in January of 1963 and completed some online college courses. Esther had a long career at Sears, and most recently worked for Portage County providing transportation through Disabled American Veterans and the Lincoln Center. 

Esther enjoyed her family thoroughly. Esther and Al loved to participate in Native American Cultural events while sharing their passion for arts and crafts.  They also loved to travel and did so often, visiting the Hawaiian Islands twice. Esther was a member of the Elder-Brewster Society having a direct lineage to the Mayflower.

You are invited to light a memorial candle at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point, WI on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, from 3-5 p.m.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at Kettle Moraine Community Church, in North Prairie, Wis.
