Emery David Blaskowsky, 78
Emery David Blaskowsky, of Stevens Point, passed away after a lengthy illness on Aug. 21, 2025, at House of the Dove in Marshfield, at the age of 78.
Emery was born June 5, 1947, in Wausau, the son of the late Joseph and Anna (née Mikorski) Blaskowsky. He grew up in the area where he attended local schools, including D.C. Everest High School.
In 1969, Emery was drafted into the U.S. Army and served his country until 1971. The next year, on June 24, 1972, he married the love of his life, Karen Kaufmann. Emery was a devoted husband and father who worked hard to support his family. After his time in the service, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He then went on to work for County Materials, formerly known as Stevens Point Concrete, until his retirement.
Emery was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed fishing with his good buddies, Tom Fisher and Jerome Warpehoski. Emery was also a man of faith and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen; their son, Alex, and daughter-in-law, Abbey. He is further survived by his sister, Audrey Slagowski, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Joseph; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Slagowski and Mike Kaufmann.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1709 Wyatt Ave., Stevens Point. Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery with full military honors.
