Ellis Construction has been recognized with the 2018 Gold Safety Award.
The award comes through Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Ellis Construction will be honored at SuperCon, an industry event held on Feb. 15 in Wisconsin Dells.
According to a news release from Ellis, only firms with the highest track record for safety are eligible for the Gold Safety Award of Honor.
For the second consecutive year, Ellis Construction exceeded most of their competitors, with over 80,000 hours of work with zero lost-time accidents. Ellis is one of only a handful of companies statewide that have reached the milestone.
Tim Kreft, general superintendent and safety director for Ellis, said safety was “central” for everything the company did.
“We have fully integrated the culture of safety as the number one guiding factor for everything we do here at Ellis,” Kreft said.
Ellis President Erik Carlson said he’s “never been more proud” of the team under his wing.
“Our entire team is responsible for each other, in how we work safely and effectively together as a cohesive unit,” he said.
The 85-year-old Ellis Construction provides construction management, general contracting, design assist and design-build services.
