Ella J. Hall, 98

Ella J. Hall, age 98, of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, died on August 23, 2022, at Dimensions Living in Stevens Point.

Ella was born at home on June 17, 1924, to the late Myron and Grace (Potter) Norton. She attended the local schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1942. She started nursing school during the war but earned her LPN degree from Mid-State Technical College.

She worked at various hospitals and retired from St Michael’s Hospital in 1986.

Ella married Lynn Hall on June 22, 1946. Lynn preceded her in death on November 22, 1994.

Ella will be remembered as a strong-willed, decisive, matriarch of the family. She was a phenomenal baker, and seamstress, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a social butterfly who enjoyed bumming whenever she had a chance. She also enjoyed music, fishing, antiquing, tending to her yard, and reading in her free time. She was a longtime member of Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was active in several groups in the church and was a member of the Homemakers Club.

Survivors include her children, David (Judi) Hall, Nancy Calenberg, Deborah Hall, Susan (Brian) Kudronowicz, Mary (David) Virant, and Sarah (Jim) Schneider; grandchildren, Kelly, Jennie, Matt, Amy, Ben, Katie, Emily, Hanz, Annie, Hannah, and David. She is further survived by great-grandchildren Devin, Ben, Isabel, Alyssa, Nick, Natalia, Hunter, Charlotte, Elora, and Everett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Myron and Grace; siblings Mae Woyak and Elizabeth Thrun.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2022, at Boston Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
