Downtown library to offer free beginner calligraphy class

STEVENS POINT — The Portage County Public Library will host a beginner calligraphy workshop later this month at its Stevens Point branch.

The program is scheduled for noon on Saturday, May 16, at the library, 1001 Main St., and will introduce participants to the basics of the centuries-old art form.

Led by calligraphers Dan Dietrich and Tess Bruckhart, the workshop will focus on foundational techniques and provide hands-on instruction for those new to calligraphy.

All supplies, including specialty pens and paper, will be provided at no cost, though quantities are limited. Participants will also be able to keep the artwork they create during the session.

No registration is required.
