Downtown library closes inside visits for the week

Metro Wire Staff

The Stevens Point branch of the Portage Co. Public Library branch will be closed to inside business this week, offering only curbside only pickup of materials.

Director Larry Oathout said a COVID-positive individual, not a staff member, was in the building last week, and library staff wants to employ an extra degree of caution to avoid spreading the virus.

Residents can arrange a pickup of holds or request other materials by calling the library between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

For mostly adult items, call, 715-346-1548 or for mostly children’s items, 715-346-1549 or email [email protected].

Holds for available items at Stevens Point can also be placed online at https://stp.linkcat.info/.

Almond, Rosholt, and Plover branches remain open as scheduled this week.
