Donna (née Klemann) Giles, 60

Our loving mother, Donna (Klemann) Giles, 60, was called to Heaven on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at UW Hospital in Madison after suffering a stroke. She was surrounded by her loved ones and passed away peacefully.

Donna was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Stevens Point.

Donna was brought into this world on December 30, 1961, in Elmhurst, Ill. to Jeanne and Howard Klemann. In 1987, she moved to Plover with her family where she devoted her life to raising her three children Andrew, Melissa, and Alex. Donna was the happiest when with family. Wellness and having an active lifestyle were a priority to her. Trips to the lake in Hayward to enjoy quality time with family was a highlight of her life. Spending time with her dogs filled her soul. Cooking hearty meals was her specialty and everything was made with love. Donna prioritized everyone else’s happiness. Her passing leaves a large hole in our hearts and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving parents Jeanne and Howard, sisters Debbie (Greg) Yanta and Sandie Bestor, brothers Dave (Mary Lou) Klemann and Jeff (Amy) Klemann, and her three children Andrew, Melissa (Casey) Lehmicke, and Alex (Rochi) Giles, and her dogs Henry and Tucker. She is also survived by her ex-husband Daniel Giles and significant other Wes Cleeton. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Bert Bestor.

The family would like to thank the UW Hospital and its compassionate team of medical providers for their valiant efforts.

A visitation will be held at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point on Thursday, August 11 from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Friday, August 12th at 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 10 a.m.

Love you more, Mom.
