Dolores “Blondie” Bruski, 90
On Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at the age of 90, Dolores “Blondie” Bruski died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at North Haven Assisted Living Center, Stevens Point.
She was born Oct. 8, 1928, in Stevens Point, the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Grzywacz) Guzman.
Blondie was a 1946 graduate of P. J. Jacobs High School and before her marriage, she worked at Point Bakery and Weber Tackle Co. On October 14, 1950, she married Clarence Bruski at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point and they settled in the town of Franzen, Marathon Co., where they owned and operated Bruski Farms. She retired from Hershner’s, Inc. in 1995, after working there for 25 years.
Blondie valued her time spent with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her homemade goodies: Christmas candies, Easter lamb cakes, ponczki, Sunday dinners, her fabulous chicken noodle soup (cure for all ailments) and her sewing and crafting. Blondie loved traveling with Clarence: Hawaii, Germany, Branson, Nashville, Dollywood, and Niagara Falls.
She enjoyed taking pictures and videotaping all their travels and everyday events with family on the farm. As a devoted Packer fan, she watched and cheered the Packers every football season. Until recently, Dolores was an active member at St.Adalbert Catholic Church, PCCW and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #6.
She is survived by Clarence, her husband of 68 years; their five children: Bonnie (Mike) Holas, Betty (Peter) Mallek, Patrick (Deborah) Bruski, Terri (Jerry) Eckes and Michael (Barbara) Bruski; 14 grandchildren: John-Michael, Brian, Kathleen, Matthew, Abigail, Victoria, Kristine, Jacquelynne, Jonathan, Scot, Daniel, LeRae, Lychelle and Adam; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
