Dale E. Glodowski, 71
Dale E. Glodowski, 71, passed away peacefully at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on Oct. 7, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Dale was born Aug. 20, 1953, in Stevens Point to the late Daniel and Bernedette (née Firkus) Glodowski. He grew up in the Rosholt area, attended local schools, and graduated from Rosholt High School in 1972.
After high school, Dale worked alongside his father in the family business, Dan Glodowski Trucking. Following his father’s death in 1985, Dale and his brother, Morris, continued the trucking operation until their retirement in 2020.
In 1976, Dale married Diane Maslowski, whom he met at Merryland Ballroom. They spent 48 years together, raising two daughters, Alicia and Tonya, and cherishing time with their six grandchildren. Dale’s greatest joy was his family, and he loved creating lasting memories with them, whether it was snowmobiling, making pickles, or playing cards.
Dale also enjoyed friendly competition, playing horseshoes, and shooting pool at local establishments. He was a well-known figure in the community, often riding his yellow four-wheeler to visit neighbors and share fresh produce or homemade pickles. Conversations with Dale were always filled with pride for his grandchildren, and he cherished time spent with them.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; daughters, Alicia (John) Wojtalewicz and Tonya (Kurt) Cummings; grandchildren, Nathan (Marissa), Alex, Evan, Emma (Luke), Everly, and Daxen; his brother, Morris (Laurie) Glodowski; his sister, Shirley (Barry) Simonis; and his godchildren, Eric Shields and Kayla Radomski, along with many nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to Billy Burant for his years of friendship and support.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at Shuda Funeral Chapel, 3200 Stanley St., Stevens Point. A meal and gathering will follow at the Rosholt Legion Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dale’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House in Marshfield.
