CoVantage offering special loans for storm recovery

By Patrick Lynn

CoVantage Credit Union this week announced it will provide special loans for those affected by the weekend storms.

Under the credit union’s Storm Recovery Loan program, eligible borrowers can apply for an unsecured loan up to $25,000 to help with losses or expenses related to property damage, repairs and restoration services, replacement of personal belongings, or to assist until insurance checks arrive.

The special loan rate is 2.99% APR and borrowers have up to four years to pay it back.

“Part of the CoVantage mission is to work with members experiencing financial challenge,” said Chalie Zanayed, CoVantage President and CEO. “When natural disasters occur that impact our members and their families, we want to help. We believe this Storm Recovery loan is a way CoVantage can help by providing some peace of mind during a very stressful time.”

For details on the program or to apply, visit a local CoVantage Credit Union branch, call (715) 627-4336 and press Option 2, or go to www.covantagecu.org.

Zanayed said he hopes the Storm Recovery loans will provide relief to those who need it.

“The last thing someone needs when dealing with storm damage is worrying about where they will get the money to repair their home and replace possessions,” he said.
