County seeking public input on bike/ped conditions

PORTAGE COUNTY – Portage County Planning and Zoning is asking residents to provide feedback on roadway safety, particularly for improving conditions for bicyclists and pedestrians.

The county is updating its Countywide Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan, originally created in 2014, and encourages the public to share insights through a survey and an interactive map. Responses will help shape strategies to create safer and more accessible pathways for cyclists and walkers throughout Portage County.

Residents are asked to complete the survey and submit feedback by Friday, Jan. 31. The survey is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PortageBike_Ped, and the interactive map can be accessed at https://tinyurl.com/WalkBikeMap.

According to a press release from the planning and zoning department, all responses will remain confidential and used solely for planning purposes.
