County schedules third ‘town hall’ meeting on COVID

The Portage Co. Health Department and the Portage Co. Business Council are teaming up for a third town-hall-style meeting to discuss COVID-19.

The meeting will be moderated by Amy Eddy, an elder law attorney at Anderon O’Brien.

The discussion panel will include Ray Przybelski, director of Portage Co. Health and Human Services, County Health Officer Gary Garske, Portage Co. Executive Chris Holman, David Ray, the county’s counsel, Robert Smith, vice president of Aspirus Stevens Point, Dr. Helen Luce, the director of student health at UW-Stevens Point, Dr. Michael Clark, the county’s medical district and a local ER physician, and Assemblywoman Katrina Shankland.

The county said in a press release that the meeting is another tool to help keep the community informed. The pre-recorded panel discussion will be broadcast on Feb. 15 on the Portage Co. Dashboard and the county health department’s Facebook page.
