County launches new COVID-19 dashboard

By Patrick Lynn

Portage Co. this week unveiled a new dashboard to help the public navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The dashboard contains local COVID-19 data, safety guidance, resources, information on symptoms, prevention, what to do if you’re sick, and answers to frequently asked questions. Count health officials have been regularly releasing COVID-19 related information to the public since March.

Portage Co. saw its first confirmed case of the coronavirus March 25. Since then, 147 cases have been confirmed. Fifty-seven of those cases are still active, according to the county.

Much of the data contains information directly from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and is updated weekly, according to a news release from the county.

The new dashboard is available via any electronic device and is mobile-friendly. It can be found at https://coronavirus-response-portage-county-portagecowi.hub.arcgis.com/.
