County Hwy. B construction to resume in Plover on April 24

PLOVER — Roadwork on County Highway B in the Village of Plover will resume Thursday, according to the Portage County Highway Department.

The improvement project, which spans from Interstate 39 to Wisconsin Avenue, will focus next on the section between Wisconsin Avenue and Hoover Avenue. Crews will complete the installation of a multi-use path, street lighting, restoration, and other final punch list items.

Both eastbound and westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane, with through traffic routed to the inside lanes.

Later this spring, additional concrete repairs are planned for the east segment between Hoover Avenue and I-39. Those repairs will also require single-lane closures in both directions, with one lane remaining open at all times.

Further traffic updates will be provided once the contractor’s schedule is finalized, officials said.
