The Portage Co. Health Department on Wednesday announced it would close its COVID-19 testing site due to a coming winter storm.
The testing site, located at the Aging and Disability Resource Center—also known as the Lincoln Center—is closing down beginning Feb. 4.
The site will resume testing on Monday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Safety of community members and Portage County staff are top priorities and operating the site is not in the best interest due to expected weather conditions,” the county said in a news release.
The National Weather Service in Green Bay issued a storm warning in effect from Wed. night through Friday. Up to nine inches of snow is expected, with dangerously cold weather over the weekend.
