Community invited to free screening of Stevens Point ‘Main Streets’ episode in Plover

STEVENS POINT — The community is invited to a free premiere of the Stevens Point episode of “John McGivern’s Main Streets” on Wednesday, March 4, at the Food + Farm Exploration Center in Plover.

The popular public television series, which highlights the people, places and stories that make up communities across the Upper Midwest, will feature Stevens Point in an upcoming episode. The event will be held at 3400 Innovation Dr., with a cash bar beginning at 5 p.m., followed by the episode premiere at 6 p.m.

Attendees will also see a special video greeting from series co-hosts John McGivern and Emmy Fink as part of the evening’s program.

The event is free and open to the public, though organizers recommend registering in advance online at pbswisconsin.org/events.

Produced by Plum Media, the Stevens Point feature is part of the show’s fifth season. Actor, comedian and television host John McGivern and co-host Emmy Fink travel throughout the Upper Midwest, celebrating local attractions, history, businesses and the people who call each community home.
