The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin is launching a new virtual “lunch and learn” series beginning in October.
The Community Lunch Hour is a free event that helps engage the community in various community topics while connecting with others. Attendees will also be provided ways they can get involved and help make a difference. Topics will change monthly and events will be held virtually until further notice.
Attendees are also provided the option to purchase a $10 from a pool of rotating businesses.
The first event, Oct. 26 from noon to 1 p.m., will focus on breast cancer awareness and prevention. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Community Foundation will partner with St. Michael’s Breast Care Center and the Women’s Fund of Portage County for the discussion.
Lunch may be purchased, and picked up, from The Coffee Studio, 1100 Main St. in downtown Stevens Point. Attendees can choose between a ham or veggie panini with chips.
Attendees must register to receive the link to the event at www.cfcwi.org/clh. Contact the Community Foundation at [email protected] or 715.342.4454 for questions.
