Charlotte “Char” M. Woyak, 64

Charlotte “Char” M. Woyak, age 64, of Stevens Point passed away unexpectedly, but in the company of family, on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Marshfield Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life Service for Char will be held at noon on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the Plover-Shuda Funeral Home, 2400 Plover Rd. in Plover. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 9-11:45 a.m. at Shuda’s in Plover before the service on Saturday.

Char was born December 3, 1956, in Stevens Point, the daughter of Hubert and Frances (Kruzitski) Kaminski. She graduated from SPASH in 1975. After graduating high school, she obtained an Associate’s Degree in 1978. Her marriage to Gerald (Jerry) Yach took place on August 21, 1976, at St. Peter’s Church in Stevens Point. They had two sons, Justin and Jaren. The couple later divorced.

Char worked in human resources for several local businesses, her most enjoyable being for Donaldson and Worzalla Publishing. Char owned No Problem Bar & Grill in Custer, eventually selling the business. She also worked at the Lincoln Center as a receptionist. Most recently, Char was the village clerk for Park Ridge.

Char had a tremendous love for flowers, traveling every spring throughout the area to find beautiful hanging baskets and potted plants. She loved to take trips to the casino and to Warrens Cranberry Fest. If there was a bargain to be found, Char would find it while out shopping. She enjoyed going for a ride on the pontoon and listening to music from local bands. All of these adventures included people who were special to her—her cousins and her aunt. What Char cherished most, was her grandkids, her special gems, and her pride and joy.

Char is survived by her mother, Frances Kaminski, and her sons, Justin (Trina) Yach and Jaren (Bobbi) Yach; her grandchildren Brilee, Jaret, Jonah, and Josie; sister Jeanette (Robert) Houck, brother Tony Kaminski, and nieces Kelly Knudsen and Amber Houck. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; most notably her special cousin and best friend, Kathy Scott. Char was preceded in death by her father, Hubert.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point and Marshfield Medical Center for the passionate care that was provided.
