Charles “Chuck” E. Zdroik, 63

Charles “Chuck” E. Zdroik, a lifelong Rosholt resident known for his love of family, the outdoors, and his jovial spirit, died at home on May 12, 2024, at the age of 63.

Born May 19, 1960, in Stevens Point, Wis., to the late Eugene and Jane (Hmielak) Zdroik, he was a dedicated member of the local potato farming community, working alongside his family at Lakeview Farms, Inc., before transitioning to a career with Rightway & Stratford Propane.

Zdroik married his wife Karen Garski on June 4, 1988, and together they raised two sons, Kyle and Quin. He was a devoted family man, cherishing time spent with his children and grandchildren.

An avid outdoorsman, Zdroik was passionate about fishing and maintaining his “park-like” property through gardening. He also had a playful side, known for bestowing beloved nicknames on his loved ones and maintaining close connections with family and friends through regular phone calls and visits.

Zdroik is survived by his wife, Karen; sons, Kyle (Jeanie) and Quin; grandchildren, Emma, Benjamin, and a grandson expected this summer; brothers, Bob (Amy), John (Lynn), Jim (JoAnn), Joe (Lynn), Rick (Edie), and Greg (Shannon); sisters, Clare (Kevin) Cullen and Nancy (Paul) Koch; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Chuck’s memory.
