Chad Feltz, 47

Chad Feltz, 47, of Stevens Point, rode off into eternal life on Sept. 12, 2024.

Born Nov. 3, 1976, in Stevens Point to Myron and Diane (Wayerski) Feltz, Chad grew up in the area and attended Stevens Point Area Senior High. As a boy, he enjoyed tagging along on the adventures of his older siblings, much to their dismay—a feat he was proud of even into adulthood. Chad was an avid biker, with or without a motor, and spent countless hours working in the auto body shop with his father. Known as a prankster, he also enjoyed time with friends, playing in the woods or playing “army,” building forts, and shooting BB guns.

Chad spent his career in construction, most recently with Feltz Construction. On June 27, 1998, he married Cindi Schilling, and they celebrated 26 years of marriage. Chad was a devoted husband and a loving fur dad to their pets. He cherished being “The Fun Uncle,” instilling a love of motorsports in his nieces and nephews and teaching them a few tricks to keep from their parents.

A lifelong bike enthusiast, Chad preferred anything with a loud motor, though bacon might have been his one greater love. He enjoyed riding ATVs, watching Wisconsin Badger football and hockey, and the occasional Packers game. More than anything, Chad loved spending time with friends and family. His big personality, ability to talk to anyone, and knack for making people feel like lifelong friends left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Chad is survived by his wife, Cindi; their fur-baby, Diesel; his mother, Diane, of Stevens Point; and his sisters, Kimberly (Allan) Borski of Custer and Tonya (Dakota Kurczewski) Feltz of Rosholt. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Borski of California, Cruz Borski of Custer, Phoenix Pingle of Rosholt, and Harley Pingle of Rosholt; and his special aunt and uncle, Tina and Ernie Feltz of Stevens Point, along with numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Myron; his brother, Jeff Dominick; and his grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Chad’s honor to the Portage County Humane Society or the Green Circle Community Foundation.

A life celebration will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at Shuda Funeral Home, 3200 Stanley St., Stevens Point. Casual attire, including Wisconsin Badger or Harley Davidson apparel, is encouraged in honor of Chad.
