Carol A. Green, 63
Carol A. Green, of Stevens Point, passed away at home on June 10, 2025, with her husband by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 63.
Carol was born Aug. 5, 1961, in Adams, Wisconsin, the daughter of Thomas Hodge and Delores (née) Vogt. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School.
In 1980, Carol traveled to Germany, where she met George Green. They were soon united in marriage and spent 45 years together as husband and wife. Their union produced two children, Jonathan and Jennifer. In time, their family expanded to include eight grandchildren and countless lifelong memories.
Carol pursued a career in the medical field and became a CMA, working for St. Michael’s Hospital, now known as Aspirus. She dedicated more than 25 years to her patients, whom she loved and adored.
She led a life full of variety and found joy in antiquing, DIY projects, baking and cooking, camping, crafting, reading, and wildlife photography. Her strongest interest, though, was always the people around her. She was kind-hearted, honest, and sometimes stubborn, with a heart of gold and an unending love for others. Carol was a shining example of strength and compassion.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, George; her son, Jonathan Green (Amy); and her grandchildren, Owen, Triniti, Crystal (Mitchell), Hailey, Devon, Connor, Wyatt, and Evelynn. She is further survived by her mother, Delores; and her siblings.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Hodge, and her beloved daughter, Jennifer Spice.
The family expresses special thanks to the staff of Compassus, especially nurses Hank and Kim, for their patience and guidance in Carol’s care; to the doctors and staff in the Oncology department for their dedication; and to Carol’s coworkers for their thoughts and prayers.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2025, at Shuda Funeral Chapel, 3200 Stanley St., Stevens Point. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
