The Pacelli baseball team downed Pittsville 6-1 in a conference matchup on Thursday at Memorial Park in Plover.

Pacelli and Pittsville tallied five hits each, but solid pitching from senior Nate Helms along with strong defensive fielding with only one error were the differentiators for a Pacelli win.

Helms led Pacelli in hits going 2-for-3. Drew Kedrowicz led in RBIs with two.

Helms was also the winning pitcher pitching a full game allowing five hits, one run, one walk, and three strikeouts.

Kordel Landphier took the loss for Pittsville. Eric Neve went 3-for-3 at the plate.

Pacelli is set to play a makeup game in Tri-County on Friday at 4 p.m.
