Bus. 51 reconstruction rundown, June 17

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced construction plans for the week of June 17, as phase three of the Bus. 51 reconstruction project in Plover/Whiting begins taking its final shape.

Anticipated work scheduled for next week. Crews will continue work on the local utility facilities on Tommy’s Turnpike, and continue work on the concrete terrace from Beech St. to Minnesota Ave. on the east side of Bus. 51.

Crews will also continue work on the sidewalk on County Hwy HH from Lower Whiting Park to Locust St.

New curb and gutter will be installed on Elm, Willow and Cedar streets on the east side of Bus. 51, as well as the cul-de-sacs on Beech and Locust streets.

Motorists should continue to use caution, and refrain from using cell phones, in work zones.
