Brian D. Shafranski, 59

Brian D. Shafranski, 59, was called to his eternal home, unexpectedly, on Saturday, December 18, 2021.

Brian lived in Gladstone, Mich., with his wife, Joni. He grew up in Stevens Point, attending Pacelli High School and graduating from UWSP with a degree in Paper Science and Engineering. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping and ATVing with his wife, Joni. Brian played trumpet for church services and shared his love for the instrument with his neighbors—when windows were open.

Brian made friends or knew someone wherever he traveled and always remembered names and faces. He loved friend and family gatherings, always adding laughter and jokes to keep the mood upbeat.
His wife, children, and grandsons were the loves of his life.

Brian was preceded in death by, his mother Gladys Shafranski, niece Allie Ann Krolow, and father-in-law Jon Muffler.

He is survived by his wife, Joni, of three years, father Dave Shafranski, son Travis (Katie) Shafranski, daughter Justine Shafranski (Matt Borenz), 2 grandsons Jacob Shafranski and Ezra Borenz, sister Julie (Dan) Krolow (Shafranski), and mother-in-law Debbie Muffler.

A Celebration of Life for Brian will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Shuda Funeral Home, Stevens Point, from 1-4 p.m. with a final prayer at 4.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Brian would like to sponsor a family in Bowler, Wis., who has suffered a heartbreaking tragedy. Brian was always helping people so let’s keep his giving spirit alive. All monetary gifts will be given to this family. Love and miss you, Brian!
