Molepske plans to announce bid for Branch II judge

Portage Co. District Attorney Louis Molepske, Jr., is planning to run for Portage Co. Circuit Court Judge.

Molepske will seek the seat currently held by Judge Robert Shannon in Branch II. Shannon will not be seeking re-election.

Molepske has served as district attorney since 2013. He previously served as a State Representative for the 71st Assembly District from 2003-13. He lives in Stevens Point with his wife Raquel, and three children.

Molepske will make his announcement on Friday, Dec. 3, at 12:15 p.m. on the steps of the Church St. side of the Portage Co. Courthouse. If the weather is bad, the announcement will be made inside the entryway.

The spring election will be on April 5, 2022, and if needed, a primary will be held on Feb. 15.
