Metro Wire Staff

A family-friendly outdoor movie night is coming to Lake Pacawa Park.

Sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of Portage Co., a free viewing of “Space Jam 2: A New Legacy” will be offered at the newly-renovated park on Thursday, Aug. 18, from 7-10 p.m. Attendees should bring their own blankets and seating.

Popcorn and other concessions will be available, along with cotton candy, glow sticks, and cash raffles. Raffle tickets can be purchased from the front desk of the Plover Center of the Boys & Girls Club, 2401 Cedar Dr., or online at https://www.bgclubpc.org/Movieatlakepacawa. Tickets are $1 for five, $10 for 3, or $20 for eight.

Raffle winners will be drawn during a short intermission halfway through the movie, and ticketholders do not need to be present to win, according to a news release from the BGC.

Funds raised will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County-Plover Center.

The Boys & Girls Club offers programs like Healthy Habits, which teaches children how to make delicious meals that are nutritious as well, Homework Help, a program designed to support youth through their studies, and Triple Play, a physical education-like program that keeps kids active and sparks interest in the team and recreational sports.
