Boys & Girls Club to host truck-or-treat

The Plover location of the Boys & Girls Club will hold a special trunk-or-treat event on Oct. 29.

The outdoor event will be held in the parking lot at 2401 Cedar Dr. in Plover and is open to the public. It’s a way to celebrate the Boys & Girls Club’s “Lights on Afterschool” program, which puts a spotlight on the need for continued funding for the club’s afterschool programs.

Community partners including Hot 96.7, Stevens Point Kiwanis, Plover Fire Department, Five Rings Martial Arts, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and more will have decorated trunks and individually wrapped candy for all to enjoy.

The event will be held 5-6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29. Costumes are encouraged. RSVPs are also recommended so the club can ensure it has enough candy for all the kids who attend.
