Boston School Forest announces open house

The public is invited to an open house at Boston School Forest on Jan. 18.

The Winter Open House will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, crafts, snacks, campfire, ice games, and sledding.

Boston School Forest is part of the Stevens Point Area Public School District and is spread over 80 acres in southwestern Plover.

The forest has two lodges: Noble Lodge has a camp kitchen and seats up to 50, and Oelke Lodge seats 40. The forest also have four cabins which sleep 10 each.

Boston School Forest is located at 5084 Lincoln Ave., Plover. Admission is free but registered is requested. Interested parties can RSVP here.
